The Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Awards and Enterprise in the North of England

This week I was honoured to receive the 2017 Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Award. The ceremony itself took place in Huddersfield, a town with a strong history of industry and development, and the event proved a great opportunity to meet and chat with students and alumni from other Northern universities, and to learn about their business endeavours.

Proving the efficacy of the proposed balancing process first required the construction of a two-player game to balance, designed specifically for the project so as to be representative of games the technique might be applied to.

Since the introduction of the Penny Black in 1840, the postage stamp has been used as a prominent canvas for pushing political and cultural agendas. Stamps have frequently been adorned with the faces of monarchs and other political leaders. Other common subjects include cultural landmarks, key historic figures of the nation, and nationalistic imagery. In this essay, I will investigate the role of Russia’s stamps in the establishment of the Soviet Union and communist political and social ideals.
